1-54 NEW YORK 6TH EDITION IS ONLINE.

By Damali and Nii B. Andrews.

The 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair has had the 6th New York edition postponed on account of the current PAN/??PLAN demic.

However, the presentation is being held exclusively online, in partnership with Artsy, through May 30.

The world continues to shift online, and more galleries and cultural centres have adopted digital viewing rooms as alternative spots for exhibitions and events.

Touria El Glaoui, Founder of the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair.

1-54 New York 2020, features 25 international galleries from Austria, China, France, Italy, Martinique, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Uganda, the United Kingdom and the United States, collectively exhibiting the work of more than 80 artists.

This year, the fair welcomes seventeen new galleries and two solo exhibitions, offering viewers a chance to discover the amazing breadth and depth of contemporary African and diasporic artistic production.

We are happy to share with you a small selection of the artwork on display.

We hope that you find it inspiring and refreshing in these difficult times.
