QUOTATION # 40.

“A black star appears, a point of darkness in the night sky’s clarity.

Point of darkness and gateway to repose.

Reach out, pierce the fine fabric of the sheltering sky, take repose.”

PAUL BOWLES.

“But a man does not fight merely to win!

No- no- better to know one fights in vain!

…I know them now, my ancient enemies – Falsehood! Prejudice! Compromise! Vanity!

Surrender?

NO!

….There is one crown I bear away with me…one thing without stain, unspotted from the world…and that is my white plume.”

EDMOND ALEXIS ROSTAND.

  1. 20 August. May his soul rest in everlasting peace. What do we take away with us? Perhaps only our white plume.

    Falsehood. Prejudice. Compromise. Vanity.

If these be my enemies then I better fight harder.

And I realize the fight is all within me. The voices I choose to listen to.

    1. Greetings, AM. Keep fighting. We can only change the world one person at a time. Each must start with himself.
      Have a great day.
